WHAT YOU CAN DO
Individuals, non-profit organizations, and corporations have a role to play in the success of Beacon of H.O.P.E.’s events and sustainable programs this year.
If you are an individual and want to participate, you can:
Contribute your time:
- Assembling backpacks
- Distributing food
- Volunteering to assist children with after-school needs
- Help with E. Palmyra Clean-Up
- Participating in the HOPE for the Holidays Holiday event
Contribute cash for purchasing:
- Backpacks and School Supplies
- Food for Grocery Assistance
- Registrations for Organized Sports
- Gifts for Children at Christmastime
- Operating Expenses
If you are an officer or director of another nonprofit organization, you can:
- Contribute cash donations or “gifts-in-kind”
- You or your volunteers can participate in an event, provided the services you provide are consistent with the events “mission statement”
- You can be an advocate by notifying your peers about the community services offered by the Beacon of H.O.P.E.
If you are an officer, director, or shareholder in a privately-held or publicly-traded corporation, you or your “corporate giving” department can:
- Provide donations of cash or “gifts-in-kind”
- Mention the “community involvement” opportunity to your employees
- Discuss the event with business colleagues and other professionals to solicit their support for Beacon of H.O.P.E.
